RajiniKant Movie Lingaa
Rajinikanth one of the Superstar of India who will be celebrating his 64th Birthday on December 12 2014, is coming up with his latest film Lingaa. Lingaa's producer Rockline Venkatesh is planning to release the film on his birthday which coincidentally will fall on Friday. Lingaa is directed by KS Ravikumar, Lingaa's starcast has all the big names like Rajinikanth in dual role, Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathy Babu and Santhanman. Music of the movie is composed by the music maestro A.R. Rahman.
The release of the Audio of the movie happened on last Sunday in Chennai which was a grand event. People are excited about ths movie. The film industry is witnessing action movie after 4 years. The last movie was Enthrian (Robot). This movie was shot after Rajini's illness in record time of 8 months.
"I never thought I could return to acting after my illness. I think I need to thank my fans for giving me the energy to continue acting." said Rajnikanth at the launch of Audio.
Rajinikanth's movie which was released earlier this year was Kochadaiyaan directed by Soundarya, who is Rajinikanth's daughter. Kochadaiyaan was an animated movie which was based on performance capture technology. This movie was not able to much at the box office and made fans unimpressive, who were looking out for typical Rajinikanth style, dance and dialogues and the action scenes. In fact Rajinikanth said that he has lost a lot of money on production of Kochadaiyaan which taught him a lesson.
Lingaa can be Rajinikanth's comeback movie, because to be recognised and to stay in the industry your last hit does matter. Director of the moive Ravikumar said "When I met Rajini sir, I told him my longtime associate Ponram had a story that suited his image and it would definitely work commercially. After he listened to my narration, he said -"Let's start the movie'. He had only one condition that the film should release in 2014. I'm happy that we completed a big budget film which has a period flashback portion in less than 150 days."
Lingaa is in the final stages of completion and post production stages and will be submitted to censor by the end of this month. The producer of the movie Rockline Venkatesh is a close friend of Rajinikanth who is a Kannada film producer; there are rumours that the producer has sold the world rights to Eros for Rs. 160 Crores.
It is the biggest deal for a Tamil film; it will be dubbed in Telugu and Hindi and would be released simultaneous release with original version. Jaya TV has procured the rights of Satellite TV broadcast. Shankar the director of Shivaji and Enthrian starring Rajinikanth in both the movies said "I've been told the business of the film ('Lingaa') has already surpassed 'Enthiran'. I am sure it will do much better than any of Rajini sir's films."
The buzz is that Rs. 60 Crore is being paid to Rajinikanth for this movie which is said to be the highest amout paid to any Indian Film Actor. In fact Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman act in movies of their own banner.
The film Lingaa is a big film and is the most important movie in the Career of Rajinikanth. If the film has to recover the amount and the budget then it has to become a super duper hit. Rajinikanth will be turning 64 by the release of the film.
A lot is dependent on Lingaa, this movie can prove that Rajinikanth has the same influence on audience and on the box office just like the way it had at the time of Shivaji and Enthiran. It is said that Enthiran made somewhere Rs. 200 crs plus from theatrical, overseas and domestic. Now the question comes will Lingaa be able to go beyond Enthiran. The answer will determine the next move from Rajinikanth. We wish him all the very best and hope that this movie will become another blockbuster in his career and will break the records at the box office.
