The fasting of the Sakat Chauth of Magh month will be observed on Tuesday, January 10, in 2023. The Chaturthi Tithi falls on January 10 at 12:10 pm and comes to an end on January 11 at 02:32 pm. On the other hand, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will start at 07.15 am and continue till 09.01 am. Worshipping of Lord Ganesha in the evening during Pradosh period is highly beneficial. Sakat Chauth Worship Method
On the day of Sakat Chauth, one should wake up early in the morning and take bath, wear clean clothes. To worship, those aspirants have to install the idol of Lord Ganesha on the northeast side. First of all one should spread a red or yellow colored cloth on the post. Then they should go on for taking a pledge of worship and fasting with folded hands with fervent appeals in front of God.
After this the women should keep fast for the whole day. They must offer water, Akshat, Durva grass, beetle leaves, sweets specifically laddoos, incense sticks and other fragrant things to Lord Ganesha in the evening. One should take a vow and say the ultimate appeal to Ganapati taking akshat and flowers. Then after bowing down to Ganesha chanting the mantra Om 'Gan Ganapataye Namah' is the ritual. It is mandatory to take a plate or a banana leaf, make a triangle with a special art rolling on it and place a ghee lamp in front of the very triangle. They must wish for long life of the children. Worship is over, offering honey; roli mixed milk to the moon is offered. After perfect worship, one should take the Laddu Prasad.
On this particular day, it is the ritual to take a bath at the just at dawn time wearing clean clothes. Then one should install the idol of Lord Ganesha on the worship platform.
