Vasudeva Dwadashi is devoted to Lord Krishna. It is celebrated on the day after Devshayani Ekadashi, amid the Ashada Masam. It denotes the start of Chatur Maas (the four holy months of monsoon). Lord Krishna and Maa Lakshmi are prayed on this day. Devotees who dedicate themselves for the four months of Ashadha, Shravan, Bhadrapada, and Ashvin can attain surprising advantage and salvation of the spirit. As indicated by Puranas, Lord Vishnu speaks to Ekadasi and Goddess Mahalakshmi speaks to Dwadasi. Giving rice, farm-grown products and clothes to the priest and poor people is viewed as auspicious on this day.
