Vishwakarma Day is one of the auspicious festivals, dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma who is regarded as the divine engineer and architect of the universe. The day of Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Puja is a day when the Hindu god Vishwakarma is widely celebrated. Vishwakarma is a divine architect who is considered the creator of the world. Generally, the festival is celebrated in September or October mostly in Indian states such as Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Assam, Jharkhand, Tripura, Bihar, and Odisha. The day is celebrated with a lot of fervor in industrial areas especially.
As with other Gods, Vishwakarma is honored on his birthday. The problem is that since Vishwakarma is the original creator of the world as it is illogical to say he was born on a particular day. Nevertheless, Vishwakarma Pooja provides an opportunity to celebrate this important deity.
